MAPS (Modular Absolute Positioning System)
MAPS is a universal encoder arm that enables every NDT technician to generate better data faster. The technician simply attaches the arm based to a fixed surface and quickly trains the arm by pointing the probe at a few points on the asset. Then the technician conducts the scan and the intuitive MAPS interface produces real time feedback of a 3D c-scan via the intuitive tablet interface.

Integrated UT Version
For basic thickness and corrosion measurements, MAPS is available with integrated ultrasonic (UT) probe and HEBI’s tablet based flaw detection user interface.
Universal Encoder Version
MAPS can also be used as a ‘universal encoder arm’ that sends quadrature encoder signals to flaw detectors such as Olympus OmniScan and Zetec Topaz.
